This course presents the Initiative Making Cities Resilient 2030 (MCR2030) of the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction. MCR2030 concepts and strategic objectives and relationship with sustainable development goals. The roadmap of resilience. Presentation and introduction of Self-Assessment tools in developing the capacity of local governments to understand and deal with disaster risks. Preliminary Resilience Self-Assessment Tool, Public Health System Resilience Analysis – Addendum, QRE Tool – Quick Risk Estimative Tool – to identify and understand risks, urban resilience planning – guidelines for the preparation of the Municipal Plan of Resilience.
