Civil Engineering from the Federal University of Juiz de Fora – UFJF (1983), master’s degree in Civil Engineering from the Fluminense Federal University (1989) and doctor in Civil Engineering from the University of São Paulo (2001). One-year internship at the Institut National des Sciences Appliquées – INSA, Toulouse, France. Postdoctoral fellow at INSA, Toulouse (2014), on Analysis of the Life Cycle of Materials and Buildings. Experience in Civil Engineering, with emphasis on Construction Materials and Components, Construction Processes and Sustainable Construction, acting mainly on the themes: coating mortars; concrete; crushing sand; construction waste; recycling and reuse of materials; life cycle of materials and buildings. Professor in the Department of Civil Construction (since 1991) and professor of the Graduate Program in Civil Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering at UFJF (since 2017).
