Dr. Alexandre Abrahão Cury

Has Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (B.Sc.) at the Federal University of Juiz de Fora (2006), Master’s Degree (M.Sc.) in Computational Modeling at the Federal University of Juiz de Fora (2008) and PhD in Civil Engineering at University Paris-Est (former École Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées, now Gustave-Eiffel University) in 2010. Main fields of research rely on the following topics: structural integrity monitoring, vibration analysis, damage detection, modal identification, advanced statistical analysis, and structural reliability. Associate professor at the Department of Applied and Computational Mechanics. Head of the Graduate Program in Civil Engineering at the Federal University of Juiz de Fora from 2016 to 2019. Between 2014 and 2016, was a member of CA-TEC (Chamber of Advising on Architecture and Engineering) of FAPEMIG (Minas Gerais State Research Support Foundation) and a Productivity Researcher at CNPq since 2013. Member of the editorial board of Frontiers: Build Engineering and Structural Sensing. Has received an honorable mention in the CAPES Thesis Award 2017.
