Has a PhD from the Postgraduate Program in Sanitation, Environment, and Water Resources at the Federal University of Minas Gerais – PPG SMARH/UFMG (CAPES 7), working in the field of nutrient recovery from liquid effluents through chemical precipitation of struvite using alternative reagent sources. Holds a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Chemistry from the Federal University of Ouro Preto – UFOP (2007) and a Master’s degree from the Postgraduate Program in Chemical Engineering at UFMG (2010). Is the coordinator of the Environmental and Sanitary Engineering course and an associate professor in the Department of Sanitary and Environmental Engineering at the Federal University of Juiz de Fora, responsible for the area of planning, management, and treatment of solid waste and related subjects, as well as environmental data treatment. Serves as a permanent professor in the Postgraduate Program in Civil Engineering (PEC), both at UFJF, and collaborator in the Postgraduate Program in Built Environment (PROAC).
