I am a Civil Engineering from the Federal University of Juiz de Fora (1993), I have a  Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (1996), and a PhD in Civil Engineering from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (2002). I carried out my postdoctoral internship from June 2002 to August 2003 at the Laboratoire Central de Ponts e Chaussées in Paris. I  served for six years as an associate professor at the Universidade Estadual do Norte Fluminense Darcy Ribeiro and I am currently an associate professor at the Federal University of Juiz de Fora. I have experience in the area of Civil Engineering, with emphasis on the area of structures, working mainly on the following topics: dynamics of structures, mechanics of structures, computational fluid dynamics, finite element method, finite volume method and computational modeling. I am currently a Research Productivity Fellow, Level 2, of the Civil Engineering Committee.
