He has been developing research related to Fractal Geometry and Complex Phenomena since 2005, including scientific and technological development. Works on the development of computational methods and tools for the characterization of complex characteristics and data and the development of efficient and multifunctional devices. Leader of the FRACTALIZE research group: Fractal Modeling in Sciences and Engineering. He has a degree in Civil Engineering from the Federal University of Juiz de Fora (2005), a master’s degree and a doctorate in Computational Modeling from the National Scientific Computing Laboratory (2007 and 2011). Adjunct Professor in the Department of Structures of the Faculty of Engineering at the Federal University of Juiz de Fora since 2013, collaborating professor in the Postgraduate Program in Civil Engineering at UFJF and researcher at LIMON (Interdisciplinary Numerical Modeling Laboratory). Currently, he coordinates an RD&I project in partnership with Petrobras entitled “Development of a tool for fractal characterization of complex data and its application in the analysis of sedimentary cycles”. RESEARCH FOCUS: 1) Characterization of complex data 2) Generation of energy through vibration and piezoelectric materials. 3) Characterization of complex structures via sound behavior. 4) Mechanical efficiency of branched foundation/anchorage. 5) Mechanical efficiency of multi-scale porous structures. As a professor, he offers courses associated with modeling structures (mechanics), computational modeling and applied fractal geometry.
