Rossana C. N. Melo
Rossana Melo is a Professor of Cell Biology and Principal Investigator at the Federal University of Juiz de Fora (UFJF), Brazil. She earned her M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Cell Biology from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG, Brazil) and received postdoctoral training from Harvard Medical School, USA.
Heloísa D’Avila
Graduated in Biological Sciences from the Federal University of Juiz de Fora (1993-1998), she completed a Master (1999-2001) and PhD (2002-2006) in Cellular and Molecular Biology at the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation. She is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Biology at UFJF.
Patrícia Elaine de Almeida
Graduated in Biological Sciences from the Federal University of Juiz de Fora. She holds a Master and a PhD in Cellular and Molecular Biology from Instituto Oswaldo Cruz. She did postdoctoral work at FIOCRUZ/RJ and at the University of Maryland/USA. Currently, she is an adjunct professor in Cell Biology.
Bruno Mietto
Adjunct Professor of Molecular and Cellular Biology at ICB/UFJF (since 2018). Graduated in Physiotherapy (UFRJ, 2009), PhD in Morphological Sciences (UFRJ, 2015) with part at McGill University. Postdoctoral fellow at IOC/Fiocruz (2015-2018).
Giselle Santos Magalhães
Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy (Uni-BH, 2012). PhD in Biological Sciences (Physiology and Pharmacology, UFMG, 2016). Completed postdoctoral fellowships in Physiology and Pharmacology at UFMG (2017) and in Health Sciences at the Faculty of Medical Sciences of Minas Gerais (2017–2022).
Thiago P. Silva
Adjunct Professor in the Department of Biology at the Federal University of Juiz de Fora (UFJF) and a researcher at the UFJF Laboratory of Cell Biology. He holds a degree in Biological Sciences from UFJF, where he also earned his master’s and doctoral degrees in Ecology.
