Eliane de Oliveira-Barros

Postdoctoral student in Cellular Biology/Cellular Interactions at the Institute of Biological Sciences (ICB), Federal University of Juiz Fora (UFJF). She completed her postdoctoral internship in the Oncobiology Program of the Institute of Medical Biochemistry Leopoldo De Meis at Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ – Cancer Foundation, 2017-2018). She holds a Master’s degree (CAPES, 2011-2013) and a PhD (CNPq, 2013-2017) in Morphological Sciences from the Morphological Sciences Program of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (PCM/UFRJ – CAPES 7) and has a Full Degree in Biological Sciences (UNIPAC/ JF, 2009). She has experience as a Professor of Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses in Biomedicine, Pharmacy and Nursing. Dedicated to research on the genesis and progression of prostate cancer. She tries to understand, from the point of view of Cellular/Molecular Biology, the interactions established between prostate tumor cells and the brain microenvironment. Hes studies reveal cellular and molecular mechanisms involved in this metastatic colonization process.
