Bachelor in Biotechnology from the Federal University of Pará (UFPA), Master in Biotechnology from UFPA and doctoral candidate in the Postgraduate Program in Cell Biology at the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG). He was a scholarship student in the United States, at Roosevelt University, by CAPES, through the Science without Borders program. He has experience in the area of stem cells associated with Cell Therapy and in the area of Chemistry of Natural Products, with emphasis on studies of plant-pathogen interaction, analysis of metabolic pathways in plants and analysis of the production of secondary metabolites of aromatic plants under mycorrhizal associations . He is currently conducting research on the structural and functional organization of cells of the immune system, mainly eosinophils, in the context of the granulomatous inflammatory response caused by infection with the helminth Schistosoma mansoni, the causative agent of schistosomiasis.
