Dissertations and Theses Regulation

The dissertation/thesis homologation process is processed virtually, in the Electronic Information System (SEI), in a maximum of 90 (ninety) calendar days after the defense is made.

The student must perform the following steps in order to start the process in SEI:

  1. register with SEI as an external user by accessing the link https://www2.ufjf.br/sei/usuario-externo/ and following the necessary procedures for releasing your registration.
  2. Fill out the Authorization Term (.doc format, size 28 KB), print, sign and scan it in PDF.
  3. The Term of Approval, given to the student after the defense, must be included in the dissertation/thesis in the correct order by ABNT.
  4. Send, by e-mail, the final work and the Authorization Term (both in PDF), so that the approval process is initiated by the PPEE coordination.

Academic work must be standardized in ABNT, according to the Library’s manual, available at https://www.ufjf.br/biblioteca/servicos/#normalizacao.

Note: The current upload limit for external documents in SEI is 20 MB, so the dissertation/thesis file size should be noted.
