Admission to Master’s courses in applied economics and PhD in Economics in the Graduate Program occurs annually.
The Master’s course in Applied Economics lasts two years, with the quarterly school system. Overall, in the first year, the participants must complete the credits of the courses and, in the second, they should develop their dissertation. By the end of the first year, they must have chosen the theme of the dissertation, and the dissertation project must be presented at the beginning of the second year.
In turn, the Doctoral degree in Economics lasts for 4 years, with the quarterly school system. In general, in the first and second year the participant must complete the credits of the courses, and by the end of the 7th quarter, the student must pass the qualifying examination of the doctoral thesis. The third and fourth years of the course are reserved for the preparation of the thesis and sandwich doctoral internship in Brazil and abroad.
