International students who want to apply to UFJF may follow two different procedures: the general application and the application via special programs.
General Application – Short term Exchange
Students enrolled in any undergraduate division course in one of our partner universities may apply for one or two semesters at UFJF. The application process follows the academic calendar and the semesters usually start every March and August. Application is performed electronically, through the Registration Form.
Full undergraduate and graduate courses
Students from Africa, Asia and Latin America can study at UFJF by means of PEC-G and PEC-PG Programs. For more information, visit: https://www2.ufjf.br/international/2019/05/16/pec-g
Other Special Program Applications
Aside from the international agreements we maintain with our partners, UFJF also executes special programs of the Brazilian Federal Government, funded by the National Research Council (CNPq) and by the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES). Among those programs are the CAPES/FIPSE academic exchange program. For applying to those programs, students must contact their home institutions and check whether there is an open call that includes them.
