LiS 2025

The Graduate Programs in Linguistics at the Federal University of Juiz de Fora and in Linguistic Studies at the Federal University of Minas Gerais invite everyone to the second edition of the Linguistics Spring School: an event designed for those who already are, those who want to be, and even those who didn’t know they could be linguists.

After the success of LiS 2024, which focused on Multimodality and certified more than 1,000 people, LiS 2025 brings as theme The lexicon-grammar continuum. And no one better than Maria Koptjevskaja Tamm (Stockholm University), William Croft (University of New Mexico) and Adele Goldberg (Princeton University) to address this topic.

LiS 2025 will be offered by two universities. Between October 13 and 17, the courses will be offered at UFMG. Between October 20 and 24, the guests will be at UFJF. In total, three courses will be offered, according to the program below.

Registration for LiS 2025 is free, and certificates will be awarded to participants who achieve a minimum attendance of 75% in the activities for which they register.
