Objectives
- Contribute to the specialized development of human resources in the area of the human sciences, specifically in the area of history.
- Train skilled professionals to work in public and private education networks, at all levels, and at institutions linked to research and/or the preservation of memory, both public and private.
- Contribute to the academic literature in the area through the production and dissemination of excellent research.
- Guarantee the inclusion and circulation of Brazilian historiographic production in international academic environments.
- Disseminate the results of the research produced by PPGH to audiences outside academia, giving the public investment that has been made over the years back to society.
- Contribute to improving undergraduate teaching by encouraging scientific initiation research through the development of projects and the strengthening of research centers and laboratories.
- Assist in the implementation of public policies linked to the research areas and the preservation of historical and cultural heritage.
- Disseminate the academic literature produced within Brazil and abroad.
- Become a space for bringing together researchers, both Brazilian and foreign, and for developing interinstitutional collective research projects.
