International PhD in Contemporary History from the Universitat de València (UV), where he currently works as a full professor. He is the coordinator of his Contemporary History Area and, since May 2024, the coordinator of the Aula d’Història i Memòria Democràtica (AHMD) at the Universitat de València.
Between 2010 and 2015, he worked as a researcher and later as co-project director in the Cluster of Excellence “Religion and Politics” at the University of Münster (Germany). He has conducted research stays at the universities of Potsdam (Germany), Modena and Reggio Emilia (Italy), Complutense de Madrid (Spain), Vienna (Austria), Freie Berlin (Germany) and Federal de Juiz de Fora (Brazil). He was a visiting professor at the Humboldt Universities of Berlin and Potsdam (Germany), Vienna (Austria) as well as at UFJF.
Currently, he is the principal researcher of the project “Género y nación franquista. Transnational and intersectional perspectives” (PID2022-141082NB-22), funded by the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities of Spain (2023-2026). Member of the Executive Committee of the Rede Direitas, História e Memória (DHM).
His research focuses on interwar fascisms from transnational and gender perspectives, as well as the study of antisemitism. It is also interested in the symbolic construction of dictatorships and their survival in later democracies, as well as in public policies of memory.
