Professor of Cultural Heritage in the History program at the Federal University of Juiz de Fora (Universidade Federal de Juiz de Fora – UFJF) and the Graduate Program in History (Programa de Pós-Graduação em História – PPGH). He is the leader of the Heritage and International Relations (Patrimônio e Relações Internacionais) research group (CNPq). Researcher at the Heritage Laboratory (Laboratório de Patrimônio – LAPA/UFJF) and collaborator at the Transdisciplinary “Culture, Space and Memory” Research Center (Centro de Investigação Transdisciplinar “Cultura, Espaço e Memória” – CITCEM), Faculty of Arts and Humanities, University of Porto (Universidade de Letras do Porto – ULP). Coordinator of the Sérgio Vieira de Mello Academic Chair (Cátedra Sérgio Vieira de Mello – CSVM/UFJF) and of the Specialization in History and Culture in Contemporary Brazil at the Center for Distance Education (Centro de Educação a Distância – CEAD-UFJF). PhD in History, Politics and Cultural Property from Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV). He works at the intersection between history and international relations, with a focus on cultural heritage. He has experience in the field of political history and cultural property, working mainly on the following topics: heritage and soft power, cultural property, illicit trafficking of cultural property and criminogenic collectibles, world heritage, heritage education, and political history of the Brazilian right wing and integralism.
