Assistant Professor of Contemporary History and the Graduate Program in History at the Federal University of Juiz de Fora (UFJF). Currently he is vice-coordinator of the Post-Graduation Program in History at UFJF and coordinator of the research line “Politics, Culture and Past Uses”. Doctor of History by the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), with doctoral internship at the Institute of Social Sciences of the University of Lisbon (ICS-Ulisboa). Coordinator of the Observatory of the Extreme Right (CNPq/UFJF), coordinator of the Laboratory of Political and Social History (LAHPS-UFJF), Associate Researcher of the Working Group “Contemporary Rights: Dictatorships and Democracies” (CLACSO), member of the Lusophone Connections Network: dictatorships and democracies in Portuguese, member of the “Reactionary Politics Research Network” (University of Bath). Member of the Executive Committee of the Network Direitas, História e Memória and of the Standing Group on Extremism and Democracy Political Violence (European Consortium for Political Research). Develops research and teaching activities with focus on Contemporary History and Present Time History, acting mainly in the following themes: Political History, extremism and radicalization, fascismos, neofascims, radical right-wing and transnational approaches of the extreme right. In addition, it has interest in the fields of Digital History and Public History.
