Full Professor of Brazilian History in the Department of History and the Graduate Program in History (Programa de Pós-Graduação em História – PPGH) at the Federal University of Juiz de Fora (Universidade Federal de Juiz de Fora – UFJF). She is currently the Dean of Graduate Studies and Research at UFJF. CNPq Research Productivity Fellow – Level 2. FAPEMIG Researcher. PhD in History from the Federal Fluminense University (Universidade Federal Fluminense – UFF), with postdoctoral research at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro – UFRJ) and Pablo de Olavide University (Universidad Pablo de Olavide – UPO) in Sevilla. Her research interests include slavery, the free population of color, family history and agrarian societies in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries.
