Research areas

I- Cardiorespiratory performance and rehabilitation in different health conditions

This research area uses qualitative and quantitative methods for investigating the performance and function of the cardiovascular and pulmonary systems, as well as metabolic aspects, in healthy individuals and in different health conditions. In addition, it studies prescription strategies and the effectiveness of interventions, such as physical exercise and health education, which are integral and indispensable parts of rehabilitation programs.

II- Assessment and intervention processes associated with the neuromusculoskeletal system

This research interest approaches the evaluation and intervention processes of the neuromuscular and musculoskeletal systems’ physical-functional aspects and molecular and cellular foundations. It emphasizes the maintenance and recovery of functional performance, physical capacity, motor development, and postural adjustments in the face of neuromusculoskeletal disorders.
