Introduction

The Graduate Program in Rehabilitation Sciences and Physical-Functional Performance at the Federal University of Juiz de Fora (PPGCRDF/UFJF) – master course was approved and recommended by Coordination of Superior Level Staff Improvement in March 2016.

Its objective is to train professionals to teach higher education, develop skills and competencies, incorporate concepts, objects, and research tools in physical-functional performance and rehabilitation focused on the population’s health needs. The program trains researchers to develop Physical Education, Physical Therapy, Speech Therapy, and Occupational Therapy areas of the Coordination of Superior Level Staff Improvement. Additionally, it aims to contribute to the increase of scientific production in the Zona da Mata region, in the state of Minas Gerais and the country, promoting evidence-based practice by professionals in the area and working in health systems.

The mission of PPGCRDF/UFJF is to train highly qualified master’s professionals, promote innovative research, and contribute to scientific and social advancement in rehabilitation and functional physical performance, positively impacting the population’s health and the training of health professionals and related fields.

By 2028, we will be one of the leading national reference centers in research and innovation in the field of rehabilitation science and functional physical performance, positively impacting scientific knowledge, the training of master’s and doctoral students, clinical practice, and public health in Brazil, promoting solutions that transform people’s lives.
