IMACS
Since 2018, the Postgraduate Program in Arts, Culture, and Languages (PPGACL) has been part of IMACS – International Master in Cinema Studies – an international network that brings together 16 universities: fourteen European, one Canadian, and one Brazilian, UFJF.
The goal of the network is for master’s students from partner universities to complete their second and third semesters abroad, earning credits at foreign institutions.
This initiative promotes student and faculty exchange for research in cinema and audiovisual studies, enhancing research quality and fostering the internationalization of PPGACL.
IMACS is available only for master’s students and is not a cotutelle agreement, meaning the student’s master’s degree from UFJF will be issued by UFJF.
The IMACS international coordination will issue a document to be attached to the degree, confirming that the student completed courses at the foreign universities.
Until August 2020, PPGACL hosted 5 international students from 3 different countries who completed part of their studies at PPGACL.
