In response to the challenges and the expanding spaces and dimensions of art and culture in the contemporary world, the Postgraduate Program in Arts, Culture, and Languages aims primarily to train researchers and educators qualified to work in the fields of arts and culture from an interdisciplinary perspective.
The proposal of the Postgraduate Program in Arts, Culture, and Languages consists of a concentration area entitled Theories and Interdisciplinary Poetic Processes and is divided into three research lines: Art, Fashion: History and Culture; Film and Audiovisual; and Music and Sound Arts.
The Area of Concentration, Research Lines, and the courses included in this proposal were defined in alignment with the research developed by the faculty, aiming to encourage a broader understanding of research in arts and culture through an interdisciplinary interface with the humanities and applied social sciences.
Moreover, by embracing contributions from diverse fields of knowledge, the Program seeks to foster the development of a collaborative and organic structure that integrates, promotes, and deeply develops interdisciplinary studies on artistic processes, cultural manifestations, aesthetics, history, theories, and the material and phenomenological aspects of art and culture.
