The Education and Training Alliance Program (Brazilian Scholarships – PAEC OEA-GCUB) is the result of cooperation between the Organization of American States (OAS), the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO / WHO) and the Coimbra Group of Brazilian Universities (GCUB), with support from the Division of Educational Themes of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Brazil (DCE / MRE).
Launched in 2011, the Program is one of the most important regional cooperation initiatives in the educational field for the development of Latin America and the Caribbean and its main objective is to contribute to the regional integration and strengthening of the Americas, through the granting of scholarships on integral studies for stricto sensu postgraduate courses (Major and Doctorate), offered by Brazilian Universities associated with the GCUB to students from 34 OAS member countries, except Brazil.
