Graduate Program in Administration

The main objective of the Graduate Program in Administration is to deepen professional and academic knowledge as well as to produce qualified teachers enabling its students to perform critical systematization of existing literature and also to do research in the field of Administration.

The program has a concentration area, Management and Organizations, divided into two research lines:

Line 1, Management, Technologies and Organizational Processes, is centered on studies on strategy in the context of local and regional private, public and non-state public organizations. The links between this theme and competitiveness, innovation, sustainability, entrepreneurship and development (economic and social) are prioritized. To this end, theoretical perspectives from the fields of communication, quantitative decision models, marketing, operations and supply chain management and finance are in the foreground in addition to quantitative and qualitative research methods.

Line 2, Individual, Organizations and Society, is direct to the study of the organizational phenomenon in different configurations and complexity levels. Thus, it is part of an interdisciplinary field of knowledge, since it deals with interfaces between administrative science and political science, economics, history and sociology. It prioritizes ontological and epistemological perspectives that enhance reflection and criticism in addition to methods that favor the understanding of objective and subjective conditioning and unfolding of social and organizational facts, besides the labor relations at a local and regional levels.
