During the days 15-18 of September, 2026, the National Laboratory of Scientic Computing (LNCC), located in the city of Petropolis, Rio de Janeiro State, Brazil, will host the XX Workshop on Partial Differential Equations – WPDE2026. One of the main goals of the Workshop is to promote, encourage and bring together the interaction between theoretical and applied scientists to establish an interdisciplinary forum to discuss recent developments and results. We hope to create an environment capable of providing fruitful and promising interchange and discussions among the participants on the intriguing and challenging problems in Partial Dierential Equations.
This year’s event will feature a special session on Thursday, September 17, 2026 to celebrate the 75th birthday of Prof. Ruy Coimbra Charão, to honor his distinguished academic career and excellent contributions to the field of partial differential equations.
