Call for Papers: ZEW-MaCCI , 3rd Mannheim Energy Conference (May 5 & 6 , 2014)

3rd Mannheim Energy Conference

The Centre for European Economic Research (ZEW) and the Mannheim Centre for Competition and Innovation (MaCCI) are pleased to announce the Mannheim Energy Conference 2014 on May 5 and 6, 2014, in Mannheim, Germany.

The lessons learned in more than 15 years of power market liberalisation in Europe as well as new opportunities and future challenges arising from European environmental targets will be discussed by researchers and practitioners from different disciplines.

 Theoretical, empirical, and policy-oriented contributions from all areas of the economics of national and international energy markets are welcome.

A non-exhaustive list of topics:

-Competition and Investment in Electricity Markets

-Infrastructure and Regulation

-Transition Towards a Sustainable Energy System

-Understanding Energy Demand and Energy Efficiency

-Energy Innovation

Interested researchers are invited to submit a paper or an extended abstract (at least 3 pages), interested professionals a single-paged abstract, as PDF file to energy2014@zew.de no later than March 3, 2014.
