Resumo: In this talk I will review some basic features of the physics of gravitational waves and focus in particular on the early universe. I will argue how one can use different experimental probes and theoretical results to constrain inflationary models. As a case study, I shall analyze the hybrid α-attractor model that can be seen as a prototype scenario with enhancement mechanisms of the scalar power spectrum. This type of model produces a substantial amount of primordial black holes and gravitational waves that can be detected with current and near future surveys.
