We shall present the principles of turbulence in a superfluid, providing a historical and technical review. The emergence of a turbulent regime in a sample of trapped super fluid Rb atoms is presented. The main aspects of vortices formation, proliferation are described in terms of amplitude and time of excitation. Using free expansion we obtain the momentum distribution n(k). A new form of thermodynamic description of the system employing global variables will be presented. Everything will be at a tutorial level.
