The UFJF Postgraduate Program in Social Sciences began its activities in 2005, when the master’s degree was authorized by CAPES; five years later, in 2009, the doctoral course was authorized and started. Obtained concept 04 in the last CAPES assessment (Quadriennium 2017-2021).
The Program comprises the concentration area “Culture, Power and Institutions” and is structured into three lines of research – “Culture, Democracy and Institutions”, “Public Policies and Social Inequality” and “Culture, Symbolic Productions and Social Processes”.
