He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the Federal University of Juiz de Fora (1989), a Master’s degree in Production Engineering from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (1997), and a PhD in Systems and Computer Engineering from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (2005). He is a Full Professor in the Department of Mathematics at the Federal University of Juiz de Fora. His research interests lie in Applied Mathematics, with emphasis on multi-objective optimization and non-differentiable optimization.
