Graduate Profile

The Postgraduate Program in Physical Education (PPGEFI) with wide association between the Federal University of Viçosa (UFV) and the Federal University of Juiz de Fora (UFJF) is aimed at professionals who wish to acquire technical and scientific skills and competences in the subject exercise and sport to build their knowledge in basic and / or higher education, with an important strand in innovation and research.

The master of the program must have a scientific conception as the basis for the production and dissemination of knowledge. So, this graduate should have technical skills for generating ideas and, consequently, for the execution of research projects. The dissemination of the knowledge generated is expected in all types of scientific communication, this within academic excellence as well as the insertion in basic or higher education should be of interest. It is also expected that the graduate will have great interest in attending the PhD course.

The Formed PhD will have a deepening of the technical skills and knowledge already acquired in the master’s course with significant autonomy for the development of scientific research and the creation of his own study centers or groups. Excellence in teaching, at any level, should be a characteristic present in the graduate student, in addition to a great capacity for innovation in topics related to Physical Education.
